Hey Chair-Pak

There was NO WAY I could wait 6 hours STANDING in line for the James Durbin autograph/CD so I brought my fabulous Chair-Pak to lounge in. I love my Chair-Pak!

Chair-pak team,

I wanted to thank you very much for designing such a useful device. I vacation on an island every summer which has many hiking trails. I have recently been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and have some difficulty walking for long distances or time periods. Thanks to you, I was able to go on my vacation this year, knowing I could stop and sit whenever I needed to. The pak was balanced and light enough for me to carry, even with my moderate instability issues and it was so helpful to just open it up and sit down wherever and whenever I wanted.
Thank you, thank you for giving me my vacation back!
Sincerely,
Sarah, New Haven CT

Dear Chair-Pak Audience,

This small but perfectly sized, lite weight, and versatile chair from Chair-pak is a keeper. It quickly folds and unfolds in a snap and doubles as a backpack. The customer service at Chair-pak is excellent. They will respond quickly with any questions or concerns. Was happy to make the purchase.
Thank you Chair-pak.

Dear Chair-Pak,
I just wanted to let you know I Love my Chair-Pak. I could sell at least 20 here and postage wasn’t so big to get it to Austrailia. Envy of everyone, I use it for Netball carnivals as I am a coach of representative teams, I have balls to carry and a bag and a chair. Chair-Pak allows me to pack everything in the backpack sling it over my shoulder and have the chair attached. Has made my life Easier and I have had so many comments last week and that was the first time I used it. I wish I was in a position to distribute it for you here.
Thanks again for a wonderful product.

Dear Chair-Pak,

Pier Fishing at Vilano Beach Florida

Pier Fishing at Vilano Beach Florida. I had originally planned on fishing the surf but was too ruff and decided on the pier.
Fishing was slow but the Chair-Pak worked great. Held all my equipment. The chair was smaller than I expected but was comfortable with a lot of support. Look forward to trying on the sand.

Chair-Pak Company,

I purchased 2 Chair-Paks for my wife and I to go deer hunting in Michigan. We were able to bring enough gear in the packs to go back in a swampy area, having to build a make shift log bridge to cross a stream. The fabric held up very well against the thick brush.

We like the low profile of the Chair-Pak as we did not sit in a blind. I actually shot my prize while wearing the pack on our way back out, and it did not interfere with my rifle. Chair-Pak was the perfect size for a quick day trip of hunting. I liked it so much I purchased 4 more for the hunters in our family as Christmas presents.

Fishermen & Chair-Pak Purchasers,

Chair-Pak fits my needs perfectly. Order arrived earlier than expected. As the other reviewer stated, there is plenty of room. I purchased this specifically for fishing. At some fishing holes here in southern cali, sometimes you need to rush your gear to get the good spot. This saves me from having to carry a chair and cooler. One trip from car to spot. Chairpak on back, rods in hand.
Side note: I sometimes use my Guide Gear 5-Rod/Reel Case (with bait on). It can get pretty crowded some days, and being able to cast while everyone is still setting up is nice. I like to always have bait in the water and on those miserably cold windy days, this case is great for keeping dough bait from drying out. (Guide Gear® 8′ 5-Rod / Reel Case)
On the ChairPak, there are 3 bigger main compartments, largest one holds a couple of tackle boxes and about a dozen powerbait jars and still has plenty of room. The larger storage box is a Flambeau Zerust Tuff’Tainer #5007 14.25×9.125×2 (the only one I have found so far that fits powerbait jars)(Flambeau Outdoors 5007 Tuff Tainer).
The middle compartment has the removable cooler bag, I am going to reserve this for food and drinks. I can fit 4 soda cans and 3 water bottles in the cooler bag, as well as keep them cool with a sheet of Flex Freeze Refreezable Sheets inside the cooler bag (Flexi Freeze Refreezable Ice Sheets 3 pack). The cooler back fits in the middle which has a convenient half pocket on one side which fits 2 sandwich plastic containers. There is also still room in the middle pocket for other snacks. The third smaller pocket, I have put my stringers, gloves, pliers, and anything I need to get at real quick. There is a fourth smaller pocket on the very front that holds my ipod, headphones, etc.
On the outside, I currently use one of the side drink pockets and a strap to attach my folding net (Frabill Folding Net with Telescoping Handle (18 X 16-Inch)). Using some larger caribiners I have attached 4 rod holders (showing two), and a thermos.
As far as material, it seems to be made of decent material. I usually just load it at the front of my exposed truck bed out of the wind. I wouldn’t recommend loading any pack where its exposed to freeway speeds such as roofrack or near tailgate. I don’t plan on overstuffing it with heavy weight. The amount of stitching and the design of the seat is impressive. It looks and feels like it can take some weight. There is a adjustable strap under the seat to change the seat position.
I purchased this for fishing, with the idea of carrying the least amount of stuff/weight. As a chair it was not easily tipped over, even with the pack loaded and in gusty wind. I like the horizonal feet, as these don’t really sink into the ground. I sit on it more than I
backpack with it, so I can’t judge on comfort when long-term carrying.

It would be nice to have a series of loops along the back and front ridges to weave ripcord/bungee cord throughout for further flexibility. Here is a mock up of what I am talking about:
To complete this rig, I plan on 1) finding a rain fly/cover 2) attaching a rod tube/case externally 3) better way to attach net 4) Attach collapsible fish basket. 5) packable rain jacket/pants or attaching a packable pullcord bag for shedding heavier outerwear when the sun comes out. 6) attaching pair of boots.

Upon notifying the seller that I received the wrong color, I recieved a call from ChairPak the very next day, and was later followed up with an email. ChairPak was willing to send another right away, but since I had already used it that morning and found it useful, I decided to keep the green, and will be ordering another for my son.

I’ve taken this on 5 fishing outtings so far, and all is well. I like the grab-n-go aspect, especially when you want to walk to another spot without it being a big production. For my purposes and the price, this product seems to fit my needs perfectly.

Team Chair-Pak,

I took the Chair-Pak on a long hunt over the weekend. It was a situation where I sat for the first half of the hunt and then hiked around a mountain to get to another location for a deer drive. The pack worked extremely well! I even was able to secure an extra jacket and sweatshirt to the pack sandwiched in between the crossbars/legs which was very important to me.

Chair-Pak is the epitome of a 2 in 1 product for hunters.  As the name suggests, it is a pack that quickly folds into a chair.  No longer do you have to carry a seat/folding chair as well as your pack into the deer woods.  Originally I thought that it would take some getting used to in order to figure out how the chair folds/unfolds in order to strap to my back.  I was wrong!  There really is only one way it logically folds/unfolds and it is quite simple to use, even when the pack pockets are filled with gear.  As one might surmise, this product has other uses besides hunting.  From fishing, to camping, to sitting on the sidelines at your child’s games, the Chair Pak comes through as a useful and durable product.

Dear Chair-Pak,
We got your product right before the weekend and could not wait to try it out. My wife and I go on a few hiking trips this time of year and have been looking for a compact lightweight backpack type of chair product for very long time. We are getting up there in age and since we hike for hours on the trails there is never a good place to sit and rest.
Chair-Pak was the answer and worked out marvelous for us, we were the envy of everyone on the trails. It was wonderful to have easy access my lunch and a place rest my bones. Good Job!

G’day Chair-Pak!

My chair-pak arrived yesterday…. YAY! I`m very pleased with your product, it`s all I`d hoped for in regards to clever design and build quality. Sure, when postage costs to Austrailia are taken into account this is an expensive unit, but I intend to get a lot of use out of it for both fishing trips and outdoor events.

Thanks for your customer care in this transaction.

James, Victoria Austrailia

Chair-Pak Company

I haven’t submitted a review yet but I haven’t come across an item that was worthy of the time it would take to write one. I found the Chair-pak after searching through countless webpages hoping to find an item that matched what I had in mind, the Chair-pak did that and more. It arrived very quickly and it was easy to figure out how to open and close it after a few tries and is quite comfortable to sit on. I am towards the upper end of the weight limit and I did not feel uncomfortable or worried the chair would not support me. It is very study and well made and looks very cool too.
I bought this with the idea in mind to use it for an upcoming trip to Comic-con where I know there is going to be a lot of walking and then standing in very long lines. After a long day I know I will be enjoying taking a break to sit and eat a snack and read a book while everyone around me complains about how tired their feet are. I can even see using it as an extra chair when I have guests over. It is fairly compact and easy to store.
The backpack area is very spacious and came with a removable, padded cooler bag to keep things cold. It has lots of pockets with zippers and places to attach things. It is comfortable to wear and I don’t think loading it down with stuff in the backpack will make it too bulky or hard to carry. I am 5’7″ and the frame comes to just about level with my hips and gives me a nice place to rest my hands and I can also see how it might help with back pain as it helps keep good posture. It folds very compactly and it something I will keep in my car for any time I encounter a long line or need an extra chair.

Chair-Pak,

WOW! This has got to be the most convenient backpack chair for fishing ever! I do alot of stop and go on the lake that I fish at. This product is perfect for it! I just drop the chair, fish a little and then move on. The backpack portion was not big enough to fit my large tackle box..so what i did was buy 2 of the flat clear boxs and I put all my stuff in there and now its perfect! I also fit in my plyers, glasses, bug spray everything! My friends are all going to be buying them asap!

Chair-Pak Company,
I am a breakdancer and go to competitions monthly.  At the competitions i
watch people dance and battle all day (8 hours minimum) and the only place to sit is on the floor.  So after 10 years of dancing, randomly I thought about how convenient it would be to have some kind of portable chair…which then led me to a chair connected to a backpack…which then connected me to your site.
When i opened the package all of my friends (15+ people) all liked the Chair-Pak and wanted to get one for themselves because it really is convenient when we are at events.
We do throw hip hop/breakdancing events and are starting to make our own clothing line and are studying the business…and i think if the chairpak were to hit the dancing market…i am positive they would “sell like hot cakes” because at every single event ive been to…in the US and around the world…EVERY DANCER & SPECTATOR is looking for a chair!!!

Chair-Pak Team:

I bought my first Chair-Pak almost ten years ago.  I have used it so much that I needed to make major repairs to it. About a year ago I emailed you about buying a new one. When I received your email last month notifying me that the new ones were ready, I immediately placed an order for a new one. Based on my experience with your product, two members of my family and my best friend also placed orders.  We received our merchandise in less then a week. We have used them on fishing trips and working in the forest.

In comparing the new chair with the original model I noticed that there have been significant engineering improvements.  I am happy with the new changes you have made, but I have no intention of retiring my old Chair-Pak.

Dear Chair-Pak,

I purchased two chairpaks recently to use at a 3 day ‘Womad’ music festival. Ordered them on the net from New zealand and they arrived in about 3 days. Great service & a great product that was ideal for a music festival where we moved from stage to stage. They were much admired so hopefully you will get some N.Z. sales.

Thanks Chairpak, Carol, New Zealand

Team Chair-Pak,

I originally purchased the first version of Chair-Pak over 10 years ago while stationed in California and it is still my favorite piece of gear. I use it for all activities including hunting.

I have looked at many variety’s of back pack chairs ranging from $20.00 – $200.00. Most do not have the quality construction, versatility, durability or ease of care that your product does. I have had my chair completely covered with mud and simply hosed it off and let it dry. I use mine for many activities, but I especially find it perfect for hunting from my pop-up hunting blind. Though I bought it when I was younger for the beach and hiking, it has served me well on all occasions. I feel that a $60.00 – $80.00 range for the product would be fair based off of the value I have gotten out of this product and it’s years of service. I feel your strongest selling point is your quality construction.

If my prices are low it is because I am not familiar with your manufacturing methods or construction costs. I currently live in Tennessee and Wal-Mart is the retailer of choice for many. But the poor quality of most thin walled aluminum frames make even the more expensive models of plane chairs less appealing. The fiber polled less expensive chairs makes them a use and discard-able item.

I just wanted to provide you some constructive feedback.

James, San Diego CA

Dear Chair-Pak:

I have used my Chairpak for well over 10 years now and it is the best!!  I coach soccer for all 4 of my kids, so it gets a lot of use.  I have a bad back, and this chair is much more comfortable than any other out there, plus I can hold team snacks, etc., in the pack.  Best piece of sports equipment I have ever bought!

Eric, Dallas TX

Dear Chair-Pak,

I received my Chair Pak today and I love it!  I can’t wait to use it at the concert.  It’s the perfect size and I love that it’s adjustable.  Awesome job and I will definitely be promoting it to my friends.  It will also be a permanent fix in my van for trips to the beach or the park.  Pictures will come in a few months from the concert!  Again, great chair/backpack combo!!

Mia, Goldsboro, NC

Dear Chair-Pak,

I am glad to see that your product is still being manufactured. I was given a chair pack a bunch of years ago by a friend of mine in Utah. It was brand new and for some reason I saved the tag (that’s why I was able to find you again).

Anyway, it was a faithful companion for a few seasons fishing, hiking, music festivals… Then one day on a drunken Ice fishing trip my much heavier brother decided to attack me and squashed it. I gave it to him as a gift after that, and never saw it again.

Please send me pricing and so on.. I need two Chair-Paks… I need color choices and the works.

Thanks,
Steve, Wisconsin

Dear Chair-Pak,

Thank you so much for returning my call. I wanted to share some photos of our retreats. Your product really saved me from having to carry so many items. Many in our group have already shown an interest in the Chair-Pak. I am in the process of putting together an order form. Please keep me informed of any new developments.
